The attorney general’s office in São Paulo has confirmed that Police have dropped investigations into the rape allegations against footballer Neymar due to lack of evidence.
State prosecutors will receive a report from the police over the decision to drop the case. There will be a period of 15 days for the prosecutors to evaluate the case and a final decision made by a judge.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar has vehemently denied rape allegations against a Brazilian woman in a Paris hotel in May.
